Breville 54 mm machines

The Bambino and Barista Express, Pro and Touch machines use Breville's 54 mm portafilter. Tampers and puck screens for them are about 53.3 mm.

Breville 58 mm machines

The Breville Dual Boiler and Oracle Touch use a 58 mm portafilter, not Breville's 54 mm size. The right tamper depends on the basket you use.

De'Longhi 51 mm machines

De'Longhi's manual espresso machines take 51 mm tools, per De'Longhi's own tamper. Bottomless portafilters are model-specific, so check your model code.

Commercial-size 58 mm machines

Gaggia, Rancilio, Lelit, Profitec and ECM machines take 58 mm-class tools. The right tamper depends on your basket, and bottomless fit on the group.

Other machines

  • Lelit Anna The Lelit Anna (PL41TEM) uses Lelit's LELIT57 group, not 58 mm. Lelit publishes no diameter; Normcore lists 57.5 mm tampers and 57 mm screens for it.
  • Flair 58 Flair says 58.4 mm is the best tamper fit for the Flair 58's standard basket, and 58.5 mm the largest. Normcore lists 58.5 mm screens and a 58 mm funnel.
  • Flair PRO 2 The Flair PRO 2 has a 46 mm basket and takes 45.5 mm tools, per Flair, so standard 51, 54 and 58 mm accessories do not fit it.
  • Cafelat Robot The Robot's nominal 58 mm basket measures 57.8 mm inside and 60 mm deep. Cafelat's leveling tamper is about 57.4 mm, so standard 58 mm tampers are too wide.
