Breville 58 mm machines: Dual Boiler and Oracle Touch sizes
The Breville Dual Boiler and Oracle Touch use a 58 mm portafilter, not Breville's 54 mm size. The right tamper depends on the basket you use.

Short answer
The Breville Dual Boiler and Oracle Touch use a 58 mm portafilter with a 22 g dose, so Breville's 54 mm accessories are the wrong size. IMS fits its standard 58 mm B70 baskets and CI200 shower screens to both. Tamper advice depends on the basket: Normcore lists 58.5 mm for the Dual Boiler and Oracle, while IMS lists 58 or 58.4 mm for its B70 baskets.
What they share
- Portafilter
- 58 mm[1][2]Breville's product pages for both machines (22 g dose). Its spare 58 mm portafilter SP0001817 lists the Dual Boiler but not the Oracle Touch.
- Tamper size
- 58-58.4 mm (IMS baskets) or 58.5 mm (Normcore)[3][4][5]Sources disagree. Normcore lists 58.5 mm for the Dual Boiler and Oracle. IMS recommends its B70 baskets for the Dual Boiler, Oracle and Oracle Touch and lists a 58 or 58.4 mm tamper for them.
- Puck screen size
- 58.5 mm[5]Normcore's size for its own screens, listed for the Dual Boiler and the 'Oracle'; the Oracle Touch is not named.
- Dosing funnel
- 58 mm[5]Normcore's size, listed for the Dual Boiler and the 'Oracle'.
- Group / system
- 58 mm group[3][5]IMS fits standard B70 baskets and CI200 shower screens to these machines; Normcore calls it a commercial 58 mm group head.
- Bottomless portafilters
- Not confirmedNo Breville source we checked covers a bottomless portafilter for these machines. Confirm that any listing names your model.
Watch out for
- Breville makes both 54 mm and 58 mm machines. A listing that says only 'for Breville' does not tell you which; these two need 58 mm.
- Breville's spare 58 mm portafilter (SP0001817) lists the Dual Boiler, Oracle Jet, Oracle Dual Boiler and Dynamic Duo, but not the Oracle Touch.
- A 58.5 mm tamper, Normcore's size, is larger than the 58 or 58.4 mm IMS lists for the B70 baskets it recommends for these machines.
